We’re thrilled to introduce Oysterware—a handcrafted collection of porcelain oyster shells designed for serving, celebrating, and savoring the coastal culinary traditions we love.

Born on Tilghman Island, Maryland, at the heart of the Chesapeake Bay, Oysterware is more than just tableware—it’s a fusion of function, art, and sustainability. Each piece is shaped and glazed by hand in our studio, inspired by the natural beauty and texture of natural oyster shells. The result? No two are exactly alike. Every shell tells a story—of the Bay, of craftsmanship, and of your own culinary creations.

Better than the original

Designed to improve on the shape of real oyster shells, our vessels are crafted with flat, stable bases and deeper cups. They’re easier to clean and won’t make your kitchen smell like marsh mud!

Hot or Cold

Our hand-made pieces are ideal for broiling, baking, or grilling classic dishes like Oysters Rockefeller & Oysters Casino.

They’re also a perfect presentation for cold offerings like raw oysters or Oysters Rominoff.

Each shell cradles your ingredients beautifully, while adding a refined touch to your table.

Support a Sustainable Fishery — One Jar at a Time

When you choose shucked oysters in a jar, you’re doing more than making meal prep easy — you’re helping restore and sustain your local oyster beds.

Unlike single-use shell discards, many commercial shucking houses participate in shell recycling programs. After removing the meat, they return the empty oyster shells to the water, where they serve a vital ecological purpose. Often, these shells are seeded with baby oysters (called “spat”), that replenish the natural oyster beds
